Working on a oak rocking chair commission

Here is an update of the latest commission: an oak rocking chair inspired by an Irish design. This chair is based on my lounge chair, with modified arms and what will be a pair of rockers at the ends of the legs. The joinery components in this design are hand turned on the lathe, and through wedged mortice and tenon joints feature on the arms and seat. Next I will sculpt the seat and fit the rocking blades dry before taking everything apart, sand then reassemble with glue…
