Working on a Welsh seven stick

So here is the progress on my latest commission, a Welsh seven stick chair. I am delighted to be using locally sourced timber on this project and I can’t wait to see the finished result. Here I am crafting the pieced arm bow and fitting it to the desired height in relation to the seat. The client has particular requests for the chair to fit under a desk and be at a comfortable height to work at. The beauty of commissioning a hand crafted chair is the fact that I am able to tailor each element of my designs to meet your individual requirements. The Welsh seven stick has been noted as a popular choice as it offers so much by way of comfort, elegance and strength. I’ll be working on this chair over the next few days then on to some orders for my bespoke trays. More to follow…
